As if spam wasn’t bad enough already, a new form of spam is attacking Web site contact forms. Mike Wisian, TradeMark Media’s Technology Director, describes the problem and offers up some solutions.

Formspring allows non-geeks to create complex HTML forms without knowing a bit of Web programming. It allows you to set up your form and then capture the data in a spreadsheet that is easy to export. Use it to create surveys, polls, contact forms and registration forms.

Google Labs are always up to something. One of their latest web applications (also still in beta) is Google Transit, a mapping system that helps you plan your trip using mass transit. Only available in select cities – including Austin. I don’t have a PDA, but I imagine this would be a great feature for the mobile web once a full release is available. Check it out!
