MediaWiki

A wiki is a type of Web site that facilitates collaborative writing by (generally) allowing anyone access to edit. Wikis rely on the premise that any Web site or idea will flourish over time if more minds have the ability to contribute. MediaWiki incorporates the so-called "wiki-way" in an open source implementation, available for free download. Many unique projects are MediaWiki-powered; two of our favorite such sites at TradeMark Media are Urban Austin and Wikipedia, the widely popular encyclopedia.
